The Girl About Town says ‘I do’

From vintage Ferraris and a Beyoncé inspired Bridal Party dance, to layers of white orchids and a hand-beaded couture gown, the wedding of our Girl About Town to her Prince Charming was an occasion not to be missed.

On 23rd of March, we were so lucky to witness our beautiful GAT Director, Maree Stoubos, wed the man of her dreams. Hosted on the picturesque grounds of Glen Ewin Estate and surrounded by over 200 loving family and friends, it was an intimate affair that perfectly captured the couple and their relationship.

There wasn’t a cloud in the sky for the open-air ceremony, held alongside the lake beneath towering willow trees and encircled by historic fig orchards and lush grounds. Under a modern arch donned with floral artistry from Blooming Bridal, we saw our very dapper groom wait with baited breath for his bride.

There were audible gasps when Maree was seen for the first time – supported by no less than seven bridesmaids dressed in blush pink, the bride arrived in a stunning hand beaded gown from renowned Sydney atelier, Pallas Couture. With a flowing cathedral veil, and her signature brunette locks styled in classic waves, Maree was nothing short of breathtaking.

There were few dry eyes during the very personal ceremony, which was led by celebrant and close friend of the couple, Kendall Francis-Staite. Rose petals rained and we all cheered as Mr. and Mrs. Hopgood were officially presented for the very first time.

The ceremony was followed by an outdoor cocktail hour, with live acoustic entertainment from the talented Joanna Arul-Tropeano. Maree, ever the PR mogul, ensured there were plenty of Instagrammable moments with a hidden swing set, arch and floral installations dotted around the venue.

A gourmet three-course dinner was held inside the rustic Pulp Shed and accompanied by heartfelt speeches from close family and friends. After dinner, Entertainment Adelaide had everyone on their feet dancing into the early hours of the morning. The highlight of the night had to be when Maree and her bridesmaids pulled off a surprise dance performance, much to James’ (and our) delight!

The beautiful day was styled by our talented friends at The Stylists Guide Adelaide, who worked with Maree to bring her vision to life.

To ensure not a moment was missed, Dan Evans Photography and I Do Cinema were on scene to capture the day, with nighttime snaps and fun courtesy of Halo Booth.

Maree and James wish to express their gratitude to our Girl About Town suppliers for their wonderful efforts, and thank all who sent them warm wishes for their big day.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Hopgood, from your Girl About Town family ♥
