Mad March is nearly over and that can only mean one thing, The Adelaide Fringe is wrapping up! You don’t want to miss out as this year marks 60 years of The Fringe and what better way to celebrate the largest open access arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere than seeing a few shows. There’s still plenty of great shows to see with a little something for everyone, from comedy, to cabaret and the hottest gigs.
With 400 venues across Adelaide and only one week left, trying to curate your fringe calendar can be daunting. But never fear! We’ve complied our go-to guide of the Fringe shows you Just. Can’t. Miss. with all the details you’ll need to help navigate the last week of this festival season.

As the winner of Best Comedy at The Adelaide Fringe 2018, and nominee for Best Newcomer at The Edinburgh Fringe 2016, you just can’t go wrong with Nath Valvo. His quick wit has earned him a fan base across the globe, with Graham Norton labelling him “a total natural” on Twitter and The Scotsman (UK) declaring, “high maintenance, petulant, difficult, antisocial and hard to please. Nath Valvo just gets better and better.” As host of ABC’s Comedy Up Late and Nova’s Saturday Morning Breakfast Show in 2015, Nath promises an energetic and hilarious comedy from Chatty Cathy, that will leave you in stitches.

Feeling adventurous and looking for something a bit different? Straight out of Melbourne, Yummy Productions is known for their unique and modern take on cabaret with their incorporation of women into drag and the challenging of gender norms and fluidity. Yummy Unleashed is a spectacular combination of drag, circus, dance and live music that has earned a cult following. Described as vibrant, delightful and a little bit naughty, we can promise this smash hit won’t disappoint. So, dust off your fishnets and sequin get-ups and get down to the Garden of Unearthly Delights for the bombshell that is Yummy Unleashed.

In need of a gig fix? Utopia has been dubbed “a party, within a concert, within a festival”. Drop by the Dusk Till Dawn Stage in Utopia for a killer line-up, including the likes of Cut Copy and Haiku Hands. You just can’t pass up so much goodness in one stage.

From the creator of SÉANCE and COMA, FLIGHT is the next instalment in the multi-sensory experience. Confuse your senses as you board a flight in the economy section and fly into an alternate reality. You may or may not land safely with multiple potential endings for your flight. Intrigued? You should be! You just have to try this experience before the fringe is over.

Karaoke minus the stage fright? Yes please! The Giant Sing Along features all your favourite tunes from 90’s classics to this summer’s hottest hits. This is the perfect family friendly fringe activity with plenty of microphones, built in auto tune (probably for the best) and all the words on the big screen. So head down to Lot Fourteen and unite with friends and strangers alike over The Giant Sing Along.
