2020 is officially here! However unfortunately, we wish that Australia had begun this decade on a happier note.
Since August 2019, countless bushfires have been burning throughout Australia – beginning in New South Wales, spreading across to Victoria and now South Australia’s beloved, Kangaroo Island. It’s been recorded that the fires have burnt almost 15million acres across Australia, and the death toll has now risen to 25 people. Over 1,500 homes have been lost, and an estimated 500million animals have died in NSW alone. These statistics and the impact these fires have had on our country, are beyond devastating.
Girl About Town has curated a list from our clients, about the different ways you can help contribute a donation to charities who are helping those affected by the bushfires.
Class A Jewellers
In an effort to provide help to those affected by the fires, Class A Jewellers will be donating a $10,500 sapphire and diamond ring to be auctioned with 100% of the proceeds being donated to charities, particularly those who have been affected in the South Australia region.
